Dear Eric, Dear Sirs,
I have asked our system people to install AIPS on our new 64 bit
machine and he runs into various trouble to get the correct gcc
compiler running on that machine. Could you please let us know if you
know about a similar system on which gcc and AIPS has been
successfully installed (the machine and kernel specs a at the
bottom). At the moment we have gcc 3.4.6 on the machine do you know
if that compiler works?
Or if you can point us to a better solution that would be great.
Thanks in advanced and greetings from rainy Oxford
cheers,
Hans
