Are you still having problems?  NOte that a message top daip would be
answered perhaps by Amy or someone while I am away.

I have seen this recently on the a dual cpu chip   configured to run
in single cpu mode and using the gnu-compiled load modules.  I have
never seen it in other usage.  What is happening is that aips is
checking to see whether the task has resumed it and gets an error
(cannot find a disk file that is there in fact) so it resumes and
takes back control of the xterm.  Then when TVFLG needs the xterm
there is a conflict.

What sort of computer are you using and how is it configured?
