[daip] aips start-up

Do you get an error in when .bachrc is run?  AIPS_ROOT is also set in LOGIN.SH, 
I suspect (if .bashrc runs o.k.) that AIPS_ROOT gets set to something wrong once 
LOGIN.SH is run.
