This message is "supposed" to appear for a short time after you exit
AIPS since operating systems are allowed some few **minutes** to
notice that an Inet socket is no longer in use. But that is all and
then the message should disappear. If it does not, then something
fishy is happening in your OS. I would inquire about how you exit
aips and turn off the TV. It is best to use the verb KLEENEX which
tells XAS and the other servers to shut down gracefully. A kill -9 to
XAS will leave shared memory locked and other problems. You can type
the Esc key when in the XAS window to get it to close gracefully.

If you are not actually taking advantage of the Internet connections,
you can also use one or more local TVs (Unix sockets):

        aips tv=local

and see HELP AIPS for more about the grammar of this command.
