[daip] Classic AIPS 31DEC07 installation problem

Hi again,

Many thanks, Eric. Sorry, now I've seen aipsmail on the screen when
it prompted me for the amanager password. daip I thought was for web
problems, but I might have misread the instructions. Anyway, now I
know and I will keep these messages for future reference.

Yup, whatever went wrong the first time (I did execute the
login shell script), what you suggested has fixed the problem!
I can see the files on disk now, enter AIPS, load one and
display it on the TV screen and manipulate the colour lookup
tables (the only test I've done so far).

Looks like I'm ready for my banana milkshake! ;)
