In each case, I've installed using the binaries. The Install
Wizard is fantastic, by the way. At JHU, Goddard, and STScI
I've encountered trepidation among sysadmins about having
to install AIPS which I attribute to ignorance and possible
past bad experience. I've found it quite simple and straight-
forward to perform workstation installations.

Each computer is Linux (RedHat Enterprise, I think) running
on a Dell. I didn't see a tranparent way to get particulars
of OS and kernal, but have contacted a local sysadmin and
should be able to provide more information shortly.

Yes, this seems to be the case. I was exclusively using the
older machine and 31DEC06 aips, so I've got plenty of "final"
uv datasets that were created on that platform. I can FITLD
them into the new machine with 31DEC07 aips and then run IMAGR,
obtaining the same results as I obtained with the 31DEC06
installation.

Thanks,
Neal
