Having discussed with Gustaaf the identity of the outputs for the four
following groups we arrived to the following conclusion/explanation:
Gustaaf's input data has 8 frequency channel. He played with the range
of averaged channels 2-6. This range is close to the 75% range 2-7 (for
his data number of channel 8.). So the explicit averaging has to give
almost identical output as the default (75%) averaging. I think his
identity was not perfect.
Anyway I think this is the explanation.

Subject: [daip] more on AVSPC

In my previous e-mail, I may have confused the issue unnecessarily
by varying the channel increment. To simplify the AVSPC question
I now ran AVSPC four times on the same dataset containing 2 IFs.
ICHANSEL=2,6,1,1
ICHANSEL=2,6,1,1,2,6,1,2
ICHANSEL=2,6,1,2
ICHANSEL=2,6,1,2,2,6,1,2
All four give identical output. Moreover, the inputs to AVSPC
in the history file are identical: IF 1: CHANSEL=2,6,1, and IF 2:
CHANSEL=2,6,1. Is it therefore correct to assume that AVSPC ig-
nores the IF part of ICHANSEL?
Gustaaf
