[daip] new aips error

Hi Shoshana,

I can't tell you much, I've never seen that error before.  I did a 
search on the "forrtl: severe (174)..." error and it seems to mean that 
AIPS is attempting an invalid memory reference.

We have successfully run AIPS on a Xeon 3 GHz dual core here, so I am at 
a loss.  Although I am not sure with what compiler.

I'll ask Wes and Eric if they remember what was done with that.
