The DOBAND=2 option deliberately introduces discontinuities in the
bandpass that is applied. It is appropriate in cases where one
observes a calibrator and target source near each other in time and
frequency and then - after a gap - observes a different calibrator and
target at similar times and frequencies not those of the first set.
In your case, more bandpass calibration than you have done is almost
certainly a good idea since it sounds as if the BP cal is time varying
in a real sense. Then DOBAND=3 or a BPSMO are called for.
