Dear AIPS manager,
For more than two week I'm experimenting a problem/bug with aips for which
I couldn't find any description in the AIPS's webpage. The problem occur
with IMAGR, I've tryed many input parameters, that didn't work out. Also,
the use of different versions of aips (31DEC03, 31DEC05, 15APR99) do not
solve the problem. The uv-flie is especially big, the combination of A and
B array of respectively 8 and 10 hours iontegration in the P-band. So...
After imaging the dirty beam and dirty images, just after imaging the LAST
286th facet, the error comes:
VOER > IMAGR1: Field 279 min = -4.5 MilliJy,max = 5.9 MilliJy
VOER > IMAGR1: Field 280 min = -9.1 MilliJy,max = 12.6 MilliJy
VOER > IMAGR1: Field 281 min = -12.4 MilliJy,max = 44.1 MilliJy
VOER > IMAGR1: Field 282 min = -7.3 MilliJy,max = 7.0 MilliJy
VOER > IMAGR1: Field 283 min = -20.0 MilliJy,max = 26.1 MilliJy
VOER > IMAGR1: Field 284 min = -5.2 MilliJy,max = 59.9 MilliJy
VOER > IMAGR1: Field 285 min = -4.2 MilliJy,max = 26.2 MilliJy
VOER > IMAGR1: Field 286 min = -7.6 MilliJy,max = 36.7 MilliJy
VOER > IMAGR1: ZABORS: signal 7 received
VOER > IMAGR1: ABORT!
Once, changing the imsize parameter, I could (still do not understand
that) get to the cleaning step, but it still stoped at the end of the
cleaning process, before restoring the clean componants.
I should also mention it works fine if I set nfield to be much smaller
like 10... AIPS used to be workin very fine on my machine so I do not
understand...
