Rick what account were you using?

Eva is set up as if it were an AOC computer and it cross-mounts the
very remote disks down here.  People have in fact used it and the
ownership looks fine - group aips has read/write permission.

You have to be using /home/AIPS as the AIPS_ROOT area not /AIPS but I
suspect that was ok in your case.  But the account you were using
probably does not belong to the aips group.
