I have a question regarding the use of the MINPATCH parameter in IMAGR.
I am attempting to image a 8192x8192 field and wish to experiment with a
larger MINPATCH. In cases where I have a few small clean boxes set, I have
successfully used MINPATCH as large as 4096. However, in the cases where I
attempt to use a large clean box (e.g., 75% of the image) and
MINPATCH >= 1024, IMAGR dies with the messages:
IMAGR1: CDECID: CANNOT OBTAIN BEAM PATCH - MAP LIMIT PROPERLY
IMAGR1: BGC Clean: using 1605 cell beam + residuals > 3.19 Jy
IMAGR1: CLBSHV: YOU NEED 0. WORDS OF MEMORY
IMAGR1: CLBSHV: ERROR LOADING BEAM FOR BEAM image for CLEAN
IMAGR1: CLNCYC: ERROR CLEANING CLEAN process object
IMAGR1: CLNUV1 : ERROR CLEANING CLEAN process object
IMAGR1: CLNUV : ERROR CLEANING CLEAN process object
I have a data cube from 2001 where the history file records that a large
minpatch was used successfully (minpatch=4096 in 8192 image, with clean
box 75% of image). Has anything changed that would affect the use of this
parameter? The machine I am running on now has a 5 megaword AP.
My IMAGR inputs are appended below.
