[daip] MSGWRT error

Dear Eric et al,

One of our students using AIPS is continuously getting the following
error message:


AIPS 1: Previous session command-line history recovered.
ZMSGDK: OPER = READ LUN = 12 NREC =      293
ZFI2: REQUEST FOR BYTES 299009 THRU = 300032 BEYOND EOF = 299008
ZMSGER: IN ZFI2 ERRNO = 22 (Invalid argument)
MSGWRT ERROR      3 AT WRIT

I'm not able to find the cause of this message.  Apparently, >CLRMSG
doesn't resolve this and the permissions on the relevant file seem to be
OK.  Could you please give me a hint for tracking down the cause of this
