Not a silly question if you have not used aips in a while. It is
complaining usually about the address used by XAS (5000) when this
message comes. Usually it arises when one shuts down an Inet aips TV
and tries to start a new one back up almost immediately. This should
go away within minutes (10 at most). If it doesn't it suggests that
there is a rogue process (an XAS with window lost??) running. A
reboot would cure it of course.

    Another cure is to use
        aips tv=local
which is fine if you are not talking to any other computers with that
TV.
