Dear Amy,
now the lines are in /etc/services. But aips from the remote host aida33
  still hangs at the same point. The FAQ page does not help me at this
point. Does aips try to write something to somewhere and cannot? Or are
there anywhere write permission violations? This is the only idea I
have. Or is ther anything else?
