Hi Laurent,

Hmmmmm, I found where the " XAS: **  Sorry, must limit to 8" message is 
coming from.  For some reason it doesn't think you want to use 
TrueColor.  Look in your ~/.Xdefaults file, is there something which 
says: "AIPStv*useTrueColor:"?  If yes, what is it set to (1 for true; 0 
for false).
