[daip] permission problem ??

Dear Dan,

You should never install AIPS as root.  I'm surprised you haven't had 
more problems.  Since your AIPS installation is so old, I would 
reinstall.  It's easy (really).

But as a stopgap you need to change the owner and group of these files 
to whatever username and group you usually run under.  Log in as root 
and then use "chgrp" and "chown" to change the ownership and group.
