This should not be happening - what account did you create the
control files with and what account are you now using. If the SYSETUP
had worked properly, this file will be readable to you.

I do not know why this is happening. Does your startup file
(.tcshrc, .cshrc, .bashrc depending on the shell you use) assign
AIPS_ROOT and reference the suitable LOGIN.CSH or LOGIN.SH? I have
found that, away from Socorro, the user's startup scripts must make
this reference in order to have the daemons start properly. Did the
message server actually appear and stay there to be used? These
messages only say that it was invoked, not that it worked.

I see no cause for these messages. Did you hit the Esc key in the TV
window? The TV code seems to have been working fine up to this
point.

This message also suggests that the SYSETUP did not work. In the disk
area $AIPS_ROOT/DA00 there should be 2 directory files, one named
HILLER and the other named after the machine on which you did the
installation. In those 2 directories there should be a bunch of
filesprimate<130>$ cd $DA00
/home/primate2/AIPS/DA00/PRIMATE
primate<131>$ ls
ACD000000; BAD001008; BAD002007; MED000003; MED00000B; TPD001003;
BAD001001; BAD001009; BAD002008; MED000004; PRIMATE@ TPD001004;
BAD001002; BAD002001; BAD002009; MED000005; PWD000000;@ TPD001005;
BAD001003; BAD002002; BQD000000; MED000006; SPD000000; TPD001006;

BAD001007; BAD002006; MED000002; MED00000A; TPD001002;
primate<132>$
(The PRIMATE pointer above is extra but the others should be present
if SYSETUP worked.)
