    This area should not exist and I thought I had removed it
entirely.  I will look some more.  Go to $AIPS_ROOT/TEXT and
rm -rf UPDATE
and the message will not recur.

    There should be messages here from running POPSGN.  Did it fail to
run?  Say compress; inp system inside aips to see whether it ran.  An
error message says it did not.
