I think the website is working now.

PP.EXE needs a working fortran compiler.  Check your FDEFAULT.SH,
which sets up the default compiles.  Does /sw/bin/g77 exist?  Try
a /sw/bin/g77 --version .  This should tell you the version of g77
that it is using.

You should consider a binary install.  These use IBM compilers that
make AIPS run ~50% faster (maybe more) than gnu compilers and it
would get rid of the above error since you are not compiling
anything.
