Many thanks for debugging this.  You see, it was really quite simple
if confusing.

I have putbck in 31DEC05 a solution to this which differs from yours
in that I adopt the new naming convention and change CXCLN to match.
I actually tested this with last summer school's polarization example
and it seems to work okay.

It will be available on the MNJ in about 8 hours.
