You have not understood things. Now that you have the C include files
you must compile and link XAS, the TV display program. TVSERV is a
lock daemon that controls access to XAS.
cd $AIPS_ROOT
source LOGIN.CSH
$CDTST
cd $YSERV/XAS
make clean
make
Then start up an aips. You should see an icon (usually with an ape on
it) representing the TV display XAS.
