Hi Eric.

   OK, I'll try this.  However, you may want to change the "Linux Compiler
Troubles" sidebar on the AIP web page to reflect this.  Currently, the
statements there (1) urge caution over gcc-3.2.3 and (2) don't mention
gcc-4.0.0.
