[daip] Question about AIPS catalog file

Greetings.  I have an AIPS DATA directory full of 
data files, but with no CAD* catalog directory file.  
As a result, AIPS does not recognize that this AIPS 
disk contains anything.  Is there a procedure to 
re-create the AIPS catalog directory file from the 
contents of a directory?  If not, is there any other 
way to make the files visible to AIPS?  Thank you.
