I finally tried the midnight job from home. It fairly quickly gets to the
following screen lines:
AIPSUPD - RunTime is 20040522.232433
AIPSUPD - LogFile is UPD20040522.232433.LOG
AIPSUPD - ErrorFile is UPD20040522.232433.ERR
AIPSUPD - cd /home/aips/31DEC04/LINUX/UPDATE
AIPSUPD - Using CVS for copying files.
AIPSUPD - calling UPDCVS
UPDCVS - cvs update of 31DEC04 completed

Then it hangs indefinitely. When I finally <ctrl> C, it continues and does
quite a bit. But I'm nervous that my AIPS is not corrupted.

Here is the output from the second time I tried - which did not take anywhere near
as long as the first time which I think did some compilations:

cvs [update aborted]: received interrupt signal
UPDCVS - cvs update of TEXT had abnormal completion
./UPDCVS: line 185: Status: command not found
AIPSUPD - calling UPDCONTROL
UPDCONTROL - Syncing LASTGOOD.DAT.mnj.aoc.nrao.edu

AIPSUPD - UPDCONTROL done

AIPSUPD - and LASTGOOD is 20040522.034552
AIPSUPD - dates wrong: LASTCOPY is 20040522.034552
AIPSUPD - and LASTCOMRPL is 20040522.034552
AIPSUPD - Status is not OK, calling UPDERROR
AIPSUPD - UPDERROR done, reset Status to OK
AIPSUPD - calling UPDREPORT
AIPSUPD - UPDREPORT done, MNJ finished.

Any ideas what is going wrong?

Craig
