It would help to read your mail if it were in plain text - I do not
use an html reader.

The $CDTST is supposed to create lots of environmet variables that are
needed at various points (LOGIN.CSH creates only a few and I forget
which).  This is a new message to us please try

which g77
g77 --version

to make sure that your path is pointing at a g77 with which we are
familiar.
