Thank you for your explanation...I now understand the difference between
what I did and SQASH.

I have just an AIPS question now... Yesterday, my compter, for whatever
reason, shut down.  Maybe it was a power interuption or something, I'm not
sure.  But AIPS wasn't shut down right and now it doesn't recognize any
commands.  For example,

>pcat
AIPS 1: SYMBOL?       PCAT

Do you know what I need to do to get it working again?
