[daip] destroyed catalog file

Outside aips:

cd $AIPS_ROOT
source LOGIN.CSH   (or . LOGIN.SH for bash)
$CDTST

RUN RECAT

and answer the questions - it rebuilds the CA file from the data
header files, on the disk and users number you tell it.
