[daip] MNJ SUL compiler error

Hello, 

 It appears as though we had some trouble compiling FRING during last
night's SUL MNJ (on a SUNW Ultra-30 sparc, OS=5.6; f77 v. 4.2,
gcc.2.95.3); the gist of the error message is below. We also ran an MNJ on
our Linux installation last night, and there were no problems.

 We're not sure if the error is on our end or if it's in the latest 
tarball; has anyone else reported a similar problem? Any suggestions for a 
fix or further diagnosis would be appreciated.
