I suspect that they were very far from normal - you should
show me these. It copies numerous files, makes link files etc

It is confused here not recognizing itself

The files were not created properly
perhaps an ls -laF in the TEMPLATE area might also show something

Your host and architecture is not known - check the typing in
HOSTS.LIST it is very fussy about format
