     The file system is flat - the -R is not needed.  Send us an 
"ls -laF" of the data area.  I have not seen a system that does not
allow root to chown...  Is the colon (:) correct above?  I would think
that you want augusto to be the file owner.  What is the ownership etc
of the directory file (cd ..; ls -laF)?
