Subject: Re: [daip] Problem running AIPS 31DEC03 on MacOS X 10.2.4 system
Date: Tue, 17 Jun 2003 11:16:15 -0400

Eric,
I figured out how to get AIPS to work on a MacOS X laptop without having
an IP number. The trick is to use:

START_AIPS tv=127.0.0.1

That tricks the machine into opening a ssh sesssion to itself and appears to
work just fine. I'll be testing this some more... But at least it is one
potential solution. And I am happy, since my trip starts next week. :)

Juan
