[daip] remote tv question

Amy and Patrick - thanks.  i tried patrick's suggestion first
of turning off shared memory, since my services are probably
ok since i run aips locally on my laptop.
   that worked, except that my system doesn't have /lib/cpp
but i ran xrdb -nocpp -merge and it was OK.
