[daip] AIPS and AMD Linux

Hi,

Some folks here are enthusiastic about purchasing a new 2 x 2 GHz AMD
machine.  Before I jump on the bandwagon, anybody in the AIPS group
know anything about these machines?  Any reason to expect that an AMD
machine running RedHat Linux would not produce accurate results?
