Yes, with varying results on different machines.  A 
majority of them here work in these later versions;

You should be able to replicate what MERGECAL does by running
the same tasks and applying the same tests (for redundant
records, etc.) separately.   That is when some of the tasks 
failed.   However, I don't presently have time to go back
and document it all, since my student & I are past the 
hurdle and I need to keep her moving towards more interesting
things.

FYI, within APCAL the initialization of MAXVAL changed with
31DEC00 or 01, which we first thought might have something 
to do with this.   However, I disproved that.

At the moment, I'm trying to figure out why APCAL threw out
all the 3mm data in the SN table it produced.  I'll get to
the bottom of it soon.
