{We have compiled AIPS for LINUX with the GNU 3.03 compiler.
 When we do this, we have serious problems with tasks such as
 MATHS and COMB.  Specifically, we give MATHS an 8192x8192 map,
 set BLC/TRC=0, CPARM=0 1 0 0 0 1
 The output map header shows 8193x8192 w/ min and max that are
 about 10^34.  Comb gives a ZABORT and does not run when asked to
 SUMM 2 maps (aparm=1 1 0 ; bparm=0).
  
 We have recompiled AIPS with the GNU 2.95 compiler, and all is well.
  
 We bring this to your attention since the 3.03 compiler is mentioned on
 the AIPS website (so I understand) as a legit compiler for AIPS.
