[daip] AIPS installation help

I'm about to try to install the 31DEC01 AIPS
on a PC running Mandrake linux. I have somehow
cleverly managed to avoid having to install
AIPS myself on any type of computer before this.
Thus, I am lost.

I could not find anthing obviously resembling
an installation manual on the NRAO web site. Can
someone please either send me some installation
notes, or direct me to them on the web?
