[daip] MNJ failure

Hi again:

I'm seeing a mysterious sequence of midnight job errors. I initially
thought it was because we upgraded our ssh version over last week, so
I re-primed the MNJ and ran ~aips/do_daily.ella by hand. It appeared to
run without problem.

This morning, though, I still see the same error:

 Subject: ella/SUL 20011113 update errors for 31DEC01
 UPDCONTROL - Status is FAILED, exiting with abnormal error code
 AIPSUPD - UPDCONTROL failed, Status=1.

 Your "cron" job on ella
  /home/space1/aips/do_daily.ella

 produced the following output:

 UPDCONFIG - getting additional SYSLOCAL configuration settings
 UPDCONTROL - cannot verify TST=31DEC01 on master

So - is this some intermittent DNS or network failure, or is there a
problem at my end? And if so, why can I just say "do_daily.ella" at the
command prompt and get it to run correctly?
