Hi Leonia,
I am referring to a theoretical problem apart from the XMOM code. To use a
local RMS as a cutoff, for each pixel in each plane, one could compute the
RMS in a 2-D region and then compute the whether to blank each pixel using
a SNR cutoff. However, for potentially 8192x8192 pixels in each plane, and
50 channels, this would perhaps be prohibitively expensive
computationally.
You, Eric, Amy, and Jim might have a much more clever approach.
