Dear Patrick,

  I downloaded the 31DEC01.tar.gz file and the file
for quick checking.  The files were like this;

# ls -l 31DEC01.tar.gz*
-rw-rw-r--    1 hshinnag hshinnag 42059652 Nov  6 15:14 31DEC01.tar.gz
-rw-rw-r--    1 hshinnag hshinnag       49 Nov  6 16:25
31DEC01.tar.gz.md5sum

  That looks fine. However, if I run md5sum like

# md5sum 31DEC01.tar.gz.md5sum
0439d5ca78764a77212fbaafa7347399  31DEC01.tar.gz.md5sum

but the inside of the file is different from the above.

# more 31DEC01.tar.gz.md5sum
83afed4c50dc9e725941d10a1f14994c  31DEC01.tar.gz

  Please let me know whether I can install AIPS or not.
I'd like to appreciate your quick reply.

Sincerely,

 Hiroko
