Is the tape listed in $NET0/TPDEVS.LIST?  Here is an edited portion of
our TPDEVS.LIST file.  The startup procs use this file to determine
how many tapes there are and on which machines.  If I am on my
computer (PRIMATE) and want to use the tape on HOPI then I would say

      aips tp=hopi

and the TPMONs would start on hopi (2 of them #1 for fits disk, #2 for
the 1 tape).
