[daip] Trouble with AIPS command line

I see no error messages at all.  Most mysterious.

What is the result of:

echo $TSTMEM
ls -l $TSTMEM

or try running

RUN POPSGN

and answer
  0 POPSDAT TST

and hit carriage return when the > prompt occurs
