Additionally, even if the desired files are not alone in the source directory,
you can 'MOVE' them to another user number temporarily to allow my previously
described procedure.  Maybe somebody can write an aips 'tar' command that does
this [copy the contents of a disk to another machines disk - if the arch's are
the same].

[am i making any sense?]
