Hi Aaron,

It looks like it is not so simple problem as I could think about.
So I'd like to ask you:

1. Please carry out the last test using the previous version of UVCON
which almoust worked as you told me.

   Use only say 3 fields

Use the aips verb PUTHEAD to modify RA, DEC (use command 'imh' to see them):
   Field 1 RA=0, DEC=0
   Field 2 RA = RA2-RA1(original); DEC = DEC2-DEC1(original)
   Field 3 RA = RA3-RA1(original); DEC = DEC3-DEC1(original)

Run UVCON (the previous version) with APARM(3) =0 using the three field
   model

   Tell me the result

2. Make fit files of the three field images (FITTP) and ftp them to me:

   ftp ftp.aoc.nrao.edu
   login anonymous
   password your e-mail
              cd /pub/incoming/lkogan
              put <the files>

ftp also the configuration file you use at UVCON

3. Send me the input parameters of UVCON and IMAGR you used

You can call me (505) 835-3787 or give me your phone number.

Leonia

Hi Leonia,

I tried out the latest UVCON, and it doesn't seem to have
worked. In my image, I get only a single, faint point source
very close to (but not at) the field center. The model image
contained about 100 point sources roughly evenly distributed
over the field.
