[daip] How many lines of code in AIPS, AIPS2?

I do not have current numbers and they are a bit of a pain to compute,
but in rough figures 1 million for aips plus lots of documentation.
Year-old numbers are 1,140,000 lines of code, 110,000 lines of on-line
documentation, and 350,000 other lines of documentation.

I gather aips++ (not called aips2 anymore) is very much more but  you
will have to depend on them for that.
