Dear Lincoln,

I did not want you understanding my last message to John too
literally. Of course, I undersatand that the linear algebraic
techniques can serve the case of a sparse matrix. I have not checked
the CALIB codes. Instead I based on the Rick Perley experience. He told
that CALIB works with ANTENNAS = 0 if weight of the weight outside of
the UVRANGE is not zero but a small number. I undersatnd that this is
not strong mathematical language and I do not advocate using the small
weight, because it will not lelp solving the gain of outside antennas.

Even to speak on the good math language about CALIB would require a
time for me. The full fix of the problem will require very visible
time which is not in an agreement with our difficult situation now.

I can add a warning to CALIB about possibly bad idea using ANTENNAS=0
with UVRANG .NE. 0.
Will it work?

Leonia
