Hi:
VPLOT's model plotting feature shows some inconsistency bteween
solint =0 / >0 and nmaps =1 / =-1.
With the combination solint = 0.1 (say) and nmaps =1, it plots the
model over the data only for the first few time samples; but changing
nmaps to -1 or solint to 0 (or both) plots the model over the entire
timerange.
This might be a trivial bug, or a feature that I do not understand.
Sample inputs:
AIPS 1: INNAME 'B1929-104A ' Input UV file name (name)
AIPS 1: INCLASS 'CLIP ' Input UV file name (class)
AIPS 1: INSEQ 1 Input UV file name (seq. #)
AIPS 1: INDISK 8 Input UV file disk unit #
AIPS 1: IN2NAME 'B1929-104A ' Input CC file name (name)
AIPS 1: IN2CLASS 'ICL001' Input CC file name (class)
AIPS 1: IN2SEQ 1 Input CC file name (seq. #)
AIPS 1: IN2DISK 8 Input CC file disk unit #
AIPS 1: IN2VERS 0 Input CC file version #
AIPS 1: NCOMP *all 0 # comps to use for model.
AIPS 1: FLUX 0 Lowest CC component used.
AIPS 1: NMAPS 1 # clean maps(fields).
(or -1)
AIPS 1: SOURCES 'J1928+0848 ' Source list
AIPS 1: BIF 1 Lowest IF number 0=>1
AIPS 1: EIF 1 Highest IF number 0=>BIF
AIPS 1: XINC 1 Plot every XINC'th visibility
AIPS 1: SOLINT 0.1 Time over which to average
(or 0)
AIPS 1: OPTYPE ' ' Select CROSS or AUTO
AIPS 1: APARM *all 0 Control parameters
AIPS 1: BPARM *all 0 Control parameters
I'm running aips 31DEC00 on the midnight job.
Please let me know if further information might help, or if I've
misunderstood the meaning of NMAPS.
Thanks,
Shami
