[alma-config] Current work.

Hello all.

Al's summary of the work that has been going on has shaken me out of my
current ALMA related inactivity, and led to the dusting off of the
simulation engine. It strikes me that it would be beneficial for some
further imaging simulations to take place that complement the current work
and go some way to addressing questions raised at the PDR in Grenoble. For
the former, I suggest that some quick imaging simulations be carried out for
Leonia's proposed compact configurations with differing road constraints,
and for the latter to assess the effect on imaging of randomly removing one
to four antennas (thus simulating equipment failures), and also to look at
configurations of the zoom array intermediate between A, B, C, D and E to
check that the imaging is still good despite the arrays not being explicitly
optimesed at the intermediate configurations. Further imaging simulation can
take place as a (simulated!)reality check for any other proposed
configurations, but the point I guess I am trying to make is that this tool
(the simulation engine) exists. so we should use it to have as much
information at our disposal as possible.

Cheers,
       Steven
