Dear Walter,

  Thank you for your suggestion. Yes, this helped. 

  Anyway, a new commit adds statistics of the number of records 
skipped that alerts a user of a potential problem if -u is omitted.
Though, I guess, records may be skipped for other reason. Still
do not understand why without -u only auto-correlations are skipped
but cross-correlations are passed.
