[wfc] Poll on the binary table proposals

Dear WFC Members,

Bill Pence has asked the chairmen of the regional FITS committees to
conduct a straw poll on the binary table proposals - see below.

Unfortunately I was away when he sent this out; hence the shortened
response period for which I apologize.

Could you please let me know next Friday, December 10 2004, whether
you are ready to cast your vote or whether you are considering voting
against the proposals (and if so, why).

Dear IAU-FITS Working Group members:

Following the expiration of the Public Comment Period on the TDIMn and 
variable length array proposals, the next step in the FITS approval process 
is for the regional FITS committees to vote on them.  Before doing so, the 
rules (see http://fits.gsfc.nasa.gov/iaufwg/iaufwg_rules.html) call for the 
committee chairmen to conduct a straw poll of their members to see if
anyone is not ready to cast a vote or is considering voting against
the proposal, and if so, why.

Accordingly, if any of you have any remaining objections to the to proposals 
as documented at http://fits.gsfc.nasa.gov/bintable_proposals.html then 
please let me know within the next week, by December 9th at the latest. 
Otherwise, the regional committees will begin their votes shortly thereafter.

In addition, I am also looking for at least a couple people to carefully 
proof read the proposals to look for typos and omissions.  Please let me 
know if you are willing to do this.
